How to Make Sausage and Rice

For those who have busy lives and donò€™t have a lot of time to cook and prepare meals here is a recipe for a simple dish that you can allow to cook while you are doing other things around the house like emptying the dish washer or vacuuming the living room. The beauty of this dish is that there is often enough left over for another meal the next day and all you have to do is reheat it in the microwave. This simple, easy-to-make dish is perfect for a filling and tasty dinner or reheatable lunch for the busy man or woman. All you need to make this dish is your preferred type of sausage, it doesnò€™t matter what flavor, or brat and some uncooked rice. This is a great dish anytime of year, but especially in the summer when you can grill the meat and cook with your grill-safe skillet and enjoy your work while lounging on your patio furniture. To start, I prefer to boil the sausage and rice for 10 to 15 minutes first. At the same time I use a rice cooker to quickly make the rice at the same time. After the sausage or brat has been boiled in hot water and is soft cut it up into small pieces. The meat should still be slightly pink on the inside. Mix the semi-cooked meat into a large pan with the cooked rice. I like to add some cooked onions and soy sauce and let it simmer for another 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until the meat and rice is properly cooked. If you really want to go all out you can make a real fried rice dish and put in cooked eggs, peas, and other things to make it official. Once the dish is properly cooked it is ready to serve.
